
Paul Robins’ career in broadcasting officially began at a radio station in Sacramento, California in 1984. Just three years later he was hosting the late night show on the fledgling Fox Television Network. Admittedly, that was a lousy show. But if one learns from their mistakes, imagine how much Paul has learned!
Radio highlights include hosting morning shows in Sacramento, Detroit and Dallas. In particular, his 20 years as morning guy on Y92 (KGBY, Sacramento) represents one of the most successful radio shows in the country.
In TV-land, Paul was a contributor to the nationally syndicated “Evening Magazine”, and appeared for many years on The Discovery Channel as one of “The Answer Guys”. He also hosted Discovery’s “Next Step” for several years. Paul is the winner of two Northern California Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Individual Achievement, Talent – Programming,” and was nominated for a Cable Ace Award.
In the corporate world, Paul has been on-camera talent for informational and entertaining videos for Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Levi Strauss, PG&E, The California Highway Patrol, EDS, Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, and others. Over the years he has hosted hundreds of live events for corporations, non-profits... anybody who needed to draw a crowd.
Other quick stuff to know about Paul: He’s an avid runner, having completed more than a dozen marathons, including Boston twice. Paul wrote and acted in “The Good Guy”, to this day the best-selling play that Sacramento’s highly regarded
B Street Theater has ever staged. He’s an honored alumnus of CSU Sacramento. He’s co-authored 9 cookbooks that have collectively raised over a quarter of a million dollars for "Food For Families."
Paul’s been married to Bridget for 28 years, and has three lovely daughters, one handsome son-in-law, and the world’s most delightful grandson.
